Here is a Toronto PPC Street car
in the 70's at Wineva and Queen . The Beach became more developed and a
popular place to live with regular streetcar service and was known as a
street car suburb of Toronto.

same scene with the TTC ALRV Streetcar which now run on the 501 line , The
tracks were straighten for the longer turning radius on the longer
articulated streetcar and paved for the TTC service vehicles and the
DownTowner shuttle bus.
NOW

Here is the same scene today , Not much has changed, other then the
homes on the south side of Queen
have been converted from residential to commercial .
NOW

Here is how it looks now , The ALRV is the end result of the Multiple
Unit idea and Queen Street carries much more passengers then it did in the
1970's.
